...how ya goin' keep em down on the farm....?
Where do you start? Everything was amazing. Everywhere you look in Paris is a photo op...I have about a 10th of what I took on my Flickr...check it out if you have the time. You can see what an awesome time we had. My three travel mates: Susan, Colleen and Mary are the best to travel with because we all like all the same stuff. We did not have time to see it all but I loved every thing we did see.
We did the open bus tour,
saw 2 museums, ate lots on bread and butter, hit as many bakeries as we could,
visited Nathalie Lete at her fun studio,
visited the amazing quilt artist Will V and she showed us all the great fabric and notion shops in her area. We found some great brocantes and had delish lunches and late dinners. Saw the Eiffel Tower close up and all lit up..and much more....then we took the fast train to the South West part of France for our Julie Arkell workshop at Les Soeurs Anglaises.
You can not imagine how wonderful this place is! The team, the food, the entertainment, the beautiful surroundings
....then top that off with the sweet, fun and generous Julie Arkell and you have HEAVEN!! We had amazing meals that kept us saying "ummmmmm" again and again. Fun music by the Soggy Dog Ends and high tea Les Soeurs style, a suroie with huge hail storm, a trip to town for market day and picnic then off to the amazing Ali Baba Brocante...full of treasures. But we still had time to make puppets and put on a show, create bunting...a garland and an adorable flower pin. Our classmates were wonderful!! Aussies
and Brits and all fun loving and all made our lives richer by knowing them and hearing their stories.

Another busy week
I ran away with Jill and Madison to see the butterflies at the Natural History Museum.. It broke Jill's and my heart when Madison sat with her finger out waiting for a butterfly to land on it....She did have a couple encounters.
We saw some beautiful rescued raptures too.
Lot's going on ....getting ready for the Art Show and Grand Opening at the Riverview Park's Botanical Garden in Buellton. It will be this Sat June, 23, if you are in the area come check it out. I will be doing an art project with the kids....I also did some art to abandon. There is a new Facebook group you may want to check out http://www.facebook.com/groups/ArtAbandonment/
Madison is fitting in great at summer school and we see much improvment n her swimming also. I think she is missing her naps from Tecelote Daycare though....
And of course...there is my dream come true...trip to France with my favorite traveling mates...or should I say partners in crime?

Ok now we are in Cinderella Camp...and lovin' it!
There is absolutely nothing more adorable than a bunch of 4 year olds running around in pink tights. The moms are not aloud in but we will get to see their performance Fri. Can hardly wait.
It is also a sad week ...Thurs is the last day at Tecelote Daycare...Madison has been there since she was 15 months old. The fact that she is such an amazing kid is due partly to their strong, loving and steady guidance. Thank you Miss Lynn and Miss Kate!!!

May Day?
Who can believe it is May Day already? Not me.... but April went out with a big weekend. Sat. we had the one and only Teesha Moore in the house....the Art Clinic
It was amazing. Everything she said was like a little gift. We had 27 students and everyone was very intent on their work. I peak at a few of their journals and they were awesome!
I did not get many picture. I will post some of Jill's later.
Sunday Earl and I went to my nephew Mike's house. The guys worked on a welding project and Denise and I played with clay. I felt so good to get my hands in the clay again.
Mike and Denise have a great spot and I love going there. It was like a mini vacation for me....good food, a project, cool found objects to look at and lots of birds and wildlife (a jack rabbit) to see.
Then this morning we had a May basket on our porch!
Happy May everybody!

Other news..Tomorrow Teesha and Tracy will be at the Art Clinic teaching Journal Bonanza. Last time I checked, the class was full but I am hoping they will come again so send us an email to get on our email list at the Art Clinic...floozy@verizon.net
And then there are the pics of Madison.... She has been really busy. Something new everyday.
Other news is the Art Hus grand Opening went really well. We were so thankful for all the friends and well wisher who came by. I did not get any pictures but I will post Jill's jewelry that just got added to the inventory. So cool!
