Action packed weekend
Saturday was the Chair Faire in Los Alamos. It was pretty fun. I was impressed with the turn out and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Alan Freeman was painting at Cafe Quakenbush.

I am considering a career change....
Look how happy she looks! We had a fun time at the Renegade Craft fair. The smoggy midday heat was tough on us Central Californians but it was fun to see the LA sites again from Mary's air conditioned car. We found some fun spots on 3rd and made it back to SB in time to see the Art from Scrap Assemblage show, Green. It is always a fun time......There is Angela in the middle of the crazies waiting to get a Bob Debris photo....They are so cool!
The Chair Faire in Los Alamos is this Saturday 10 to 4. It should be a whole bunch a fun. There is even some musical chairs, art chairs for sale and the C gallery is having a chair art show and more.... Come check it out. I entered 2 art chairs and 4 small paintings. Other art buddies have stuff too.
This is my latest...Chocolate Sky...
I have in in a show in Santa Barbara with 3 encaustic pieces and my mixed media "Voo Doo Flowers". Come by if you get a chance.....

Had a great 4th of July
Spent the day in Santa Barbara at an art show with 40 other artists. Met lots of great people and reacquainted with others. Got home in time for amazing fireworks at the mission. I am still exhausted and happy.
Here is my little spot under the lemon tree. Sukie, Mary and my nephew Mike's family came by for a visit.
Here are the sockies on their way to Mary Lou Zeeks Gallery in Salem, OR. Byeeee

What a busy Wed.
It is Maili's birthday and she threw...with much help...a fantastic Alice in Wonderland tea party....Madison was not to sure about it at first but then she really liked having tea at a little table. Jill and especially me, dressed up pretty crazy and Madison looked at me and said " That's not right"....
This is the easel that my dad built me when I was 4 or 5. I am so glad to have it still to share with Madison.
Here are the last of the summer flowers....

Happy Father's Day

Madison went to her first play
...and she liked it. It was a Dr Suess theme. She got on the stage after and got in the nest that was a prop. Didn't want to leave the stage. She said "fun" on the way to the car.
Molly Robertson graduated, after 11 years of college, from UCSB last weekend and Colleen and family put together a really nice Bar BQ at the new park. It was a really nice day and Molly was so happy....Wish I had one of those delish sliders...or maybe the pulled pork ...or that great tri tip ...but wait the chicken...Then I "need" another of those delish cupcakes Susan made at the Solvang Bakery....
Here is my piece for the Green assemblage show at Art from Scrap....Tree Graffiti....
Lots of stuff going on at the At Clinic. Barbara Carr is coming again to teach a felted vessel class on Sat. June 26th. I think there is still room. Also Sukey Hughes is getting together another set of Wed. classes. More info to come. My second class of this series is Tues. This one is all about collage.

I am busy working every chance I get on stuff for July 4 show in Santa Barbara. Some orders for Imagine in SB and more sockie for Mary Lou Zeek Gallery in Salem OR. I better quit blogging and hit it!

Lock down #2 at the Art Clinic
This is a good way to get some work done....We had our second all nighter...actually it was 2 nights...at the Art Clinic....We were joking using art retreat references ...like we went to Santa Maria to Target and Beverly's Crafts for our "vendor night" and here is our "commons dining"....
Here is Penny's not finished work...She also did some fantastic journal pages...
Here is Susan's work from ArtFest. She was started more in this vein.
Colleen had some cool needlework she worked on. I will ask to photo it when it is closer to done...very cool!
But isn't Maddie cute in her Oaxacan apron Colleen brought her from Oaxaca?
