something in the mail from Ellison
I got this fun "Little Funny Face Muse" pin from Ellison in the mail this week. It makes me smile.....
Boy...time is flying by!
.........I am in the middle of so many things! I hope I don't hit any snags...
I have my kits all put together for my class at ArtFiberFest.
...and more fabric painted for making some art folios for vendor night. I have about 10 scissor maidens almost done and some fun sock creatures in the works. I am at the point where I have to be realistic about what is not going to get done....and then I looked at my materials list for the classes I am taking and realized I have some homework to get done!
Here are some pics of our "Swapped not Sold" ATC reception at Art from Scrap.
It was a really fun day. I was excited to see so many people come and make ATCs and have fun doing it. All our work looked really good on the walls too. It was fun to see how everyone arranged their collections. I also enjoyed visiting some of my old work that I had forgotten about.
For your delight...here is a picture of the little chick that lives next door...oh wait...that's Vera! The cutest little non stop talker you have ever seen.

It was a fun packed weekend
Saturday Jill
....and I went to the sandcastle show at East Beach in Santa Barbara
These are the fun throphies.
...then on to the Art from Scrap reception. There were lots of fun things going on there. Bob Debris was taking more of his famous photos and a group of plastic tub drummers were just setting up when we left. We had to leave early.
Sunday, classmate, Paula, from Santa Paula High, called to see if I wanted to go see some other classmates that were gathering at Steckle Park in SP....so I played hooky from all my work and had a fun day catching up with friends. I went down to Ventura today to hang out with the group a little more....which of course puts me even more behind....but it always feels so good to see the old gang....our big topic of the day was our colonoscopies.....fascinating...

..so Earl says....
Let's go see LE. So we drove to Seattle and back over the long weekend......I will be doing that again next month for ArtFiberFest.
Here is Mount St. Helen...
Mt. Shasta....seen here with a newly added enormous street sign on the top....
I thought it would be a zoo on the highway but we somehow missed most of it. It was so good to see LE and Jon. We took the Seattle underground tour in Pioneer Square then we stopped in at Cherry Street Coffee.
We had a great meal at the Jones...this is to die for boysenberry ice cream....
and our fav, Snappy Dragon with a peak in at Maxine's for a few goodies. I got to have my favorite lemon ricotta French toast with raspberry drizzle at the Morninglory in Ashland with a quick stop at Prize for some adorable mushroom marshmellows. We took a break and stopped at Pleasanton in Cali. What a sweet town that is. So now I am back more behind than ever....YIKES.....
