Cooler than cool.....
Today will go down in my memory book for sure.....At my acrylic painting class one of my students and friend, Jack, traded me one of my paintings for one of his 3-D collages of Richie Rich AND...drum roll...a pink electric guitar and amp!
Am I coooooool or what? The painting I traded was "Lovely" so my new guitar will be Lovely #2 I think....Thank you so much Jack! I hope you and Lovely #1 will be very happy together.

new art
Isn't this cool...Jack traded me this. He has not pick any of my art yet. But it won't matter. I love this tribute to the Invisible Man. There is more art to look at over at ART CLINIC.

Latest ATCs
These are the ones I made for our monthly ATC trade group......
and these are the ones I traded for. We got a chance to talk about our process alittle this time. It was pretty interesting. In this batch there is a shaving foam technique, a solar created silkscreen print, some gel transfer, paint by # and worked that was enhanced by grandchildren...among other techniques.

The latest
First off we bought a new car. The first one that I got to pick and will get to drive. It is a Honda Element. I have been drooling over the Kiwi green one since I first saw it but I got the Atomic blue instead and it is just dandy! I am like a sixteen year old that just got her license. ....out of milk...I'll run to the store I don't mind....I just got back from going to the P.O. for the neighbor...ha I am one lucky girl! It was sad to see the Mellow Yellow vert go but it just did not fill all our needs...like a back seat you want to spend more than 5 min. in. I am glad we had that car. It got Earl home safe from his 70 mile round trip commute each day. Good Bye Miss Daisy....
Monday I had another great acrylics class...Don't tell my students but their work makes me think....what am I doing..they don't need me...I love what they are coming up with. Here is a sample. There is more on the ART CLINIC site.
I need to get these in the mail to Sew Somerset.
You can't see the forest for the trees.
Carol and I are going to be part of the ground breaking ceremony for the Lompoc Theater. It is 80 years old and they are going to restore it. We are running a workshop for people to make laminated badges. Come by if you are in the area.
